Bollinger PN VZ20 AOC (in gift box)
Bright golden.
Very expressive fruity aroma. A symphony of delicate, airy notes.
The taste is fruity, with juicy acidity, a soft, silky texture that makes the champagne extremely elegant. A light saltiness in the finish adds a final touch of complexity.
The champagne is quite versatile and pairs beautifully with many dishes, from a simple tomato tart to hearty lentil risotto and even veal with chestnuts. It also pairs wonderfully with aged cheeses, such as Langres.

Interesting facts
"This cuvée, made entirely from Pinot Noir, has become the essence, the DNA of our House — a unique vision of the iconic grape variety and uncompromising efforts to fulfill the mission we began in 1829 as creators of taste." Charles-Armand de Belen, CEO of Bollinger. Bollinger, "PN" VZ20 is an innovative champagne made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes in the classic French style Blanc de Noirs (white from black). The cuvée "PN" VZ expresses a unique vision of this special grape variety, a fresh interpretation of the legendary style for which Bollinger is renowned. In creating this champagne, the winemakers aimed to explore the taste of Pinot Noir and reveal the unique characteristics of each terroir that has left its mark on it. The base of the "PN" VZ20 blend consists of grapes from the 2020 vintage and reserve wines aged for about 10 years. A significant portion of the grapes used for the cuvée was harvested from a plot in the village of Verzenay, whose berries are characterized by an elegant, tense, and salty taste. Additionally, Pinot Noir grapes from other villages were added to enhance the richness and complexity of the flavor and aroma palette. After fermentation, the champagne is aged on the lees in bottles. Its aging period exceeds the appellation rules by more than double.
About the Manufacturer
Bollinger is an elite champagne with an unparalleled image and excellent ratings from experts. The origins of this wine date back to 1650. It was then that the family of Count Hennequin de Villermont arrived in the beautiful town of Aÿ in Champagne — the center of winemaking art. The history of the Bollinger wine house began in 1829, with the significant moment when Admiral Athanase Louis Emmanuel and Placid Bollinger (a descendant of Count Villermont) decided to run a joint family business. The family owned excellent vineyards, and the choice of profit was obvious, as sparkling wine was rapidly gaining respect worldwide. This was the "golden age" of champagne. By 1920, the Bollinger house had reached the level of being one of the world's best-selling brands, known to millions. The best period of prosperity for the company fell in the mid-twentieth century, when the management of the winery was in the hands of the talented Lily Bollinger, who idealized the taste of wine and perfected it, thereby doubling the sales of her products. The last representative of the dynasty to lead the company was Ghislaine de Montgolfier — the great-great-grandson of the founder. In early 2008, the house appointed Jérôme Philippon as the first hired manager in the entire history of the wine house, but Bollinger champagne still carries a centuries-old family history.
