About the Manufacturer
Bodegas Chandon in Argentina was founded in 1959. Back in the early 1950s, the chairman of Moët & Chandon decided to expand the geography of production of the already popular champagne wines not only in France. At his request, renowned enologist Renaud Piore traveled the world in search of potential terroirs for new production. Such was found in Argentina, on the fertile lands of Mendoza, where the soils are rich in chalky materials, and the difference between day and night temperatures positively affects grape vegetation. Thus, the more than three-century experience of Moët & Chandon was embodied in the creation of wines of exceptional quality. Favorable conditions for grape growing combined with advanced French production technologies allowed for the creation of wines of remarkable concentration, structure, and balance.
