Fritz Walter, Riesling is made from Riesling grapes that ripen on the calcareous soils of the Palatinate's vineyards. After the harvest, the grapes are sent to the winery, where they undergo gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks. A brief aging period also takes place in stainless steel reservoirs. The Fritz Walter family winery is located in the heart of the Southern Palatinate, in the town of Bad Bergzabern. The winery has a rich history spanning over 180 years, with winemaking traditions dating back to 1832. Since 2008, the company has been run by Christine and Eckhard Walter, the fifth generation of winemakers. The vineyards cover about 50 hectares and extend to the borders of France.
