Chateau Picon 1070, Bordeaux Superieur AOC is an exquisite red wine made from red grape varieties grown in the Bordeaux Superieur zone. The first mentions of the Chateau date back to 1070, which is indicated on the wine label as a tribute to the history of the Picon estate's foundation. The Chateau is located in the commune of Eynesse, near the bastide (small fortified village) of Sainte-Foy-la-Grande. All the vineyards are located in close proximity — around the Chateau. To create Chateau Picon 1070, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec varieties are used. Vinification is carried out in a traditional manner in steel tanks under controlled temperature. The wine is aged in oak barrels.
