About the Manufacturer
The Ruggeri company was founded by Giustino Bisol in 1950, whose family has been proud of rich winemaking traditions in the Valdobbiadene region. The Bisol family is known to have been growing grapes since 1542. In 1920, enologist Luigi Bisol built a winery in the town of Montebelluna, and in 1950, Luigi's son, Giustino Bisol, founded the Ruggeri winery and began producing sparkling wines from Prosecco and Cartizze grapes. In 1993, the winery was moved to a new large and ergonomically designed building. Ruggeri sources grapes from 200 top estates, and thanks to the latest technical innovations, the entire harvest is processed within 10 days after picking. The berries are carefully selected, pressed, and fermented according to the latest enological standards. The Ruggeri winery has been repeatedly awarded prestigious prizes in the field of winemaking both in Europe and worldwide. The company's chief enologist, Paolo Bisol, became a celebrity during his lifetime, thanks to his ability to create wines of unparalleled richness and quality.
