The famous "Finlandia" vodka first saw the light of day in 1970. Its raw material is a special six-row barley, which slowly ripens under the beneficent rays of the midnight sun, which does not set below the horizon for several months. The production technology of "Finlandia" vodka can also be rightfully called unique, as it uses a continuous distillation process, including more than 200 degrees of purification, thanks to which the vodka acquires its unique softness. The highest quality distillate is blended with water born millennia ago. This purest water is extracted from a protected spring in the Finnish village of Rajamäki, where a glacier formed 10,000 years ago gives it such perfect purity that it does not even require additional treatment. Thanks to its high quality, "Finlandia" vodka became the first imported vodka in the USA in 1971, and later won recognition and many prestigious awards in Great Britain, Germany and other countries of the world.
