Interesting facts
Fresh, delicate, and very aromatic, the Dei Casel wine (Dei Casel) carries the local nickname of the Adami family. The wine is made from Glera (Prosecco) grapes harvested on the hills of Valdobbiadene-Vidor-Farra di Soligo, where the region's oldest vineyards are located. The grapes grown here impart a particularly subtle aroma and elegant taste to the sparkling wines. The harvest is usually collected between September 20 and October 10. After gentle pressing of the grapes, the resulting juice is fermented with yeast cultures at a controlled temperature (17-19°C). The wine matures on fine lees in stainless steel containers for three months. Secondary fermentation is carried out using the "Metodo Italiano" (Charmat method) in steel autoclaves under pressure at a temperature of 15-17°C. Before bottling, the sparkling wine undergoes cold stabilization and filtration to remove yeast sediment. The wine has received gold and silver awards at the Mundus Vini competition from 2004 to 2008.
About the Manufacturer
The Adriano Adami winery owns most of the best vineyards in the Veneto region. Adriano Adami's lands are located in the Treviso province, where the local population has been making wine since the Middle Ages. The winery's history began in 1920 when Abel Adami purchased the oldest vineyard in the Veneto region, Zardini, from Count Balbi Valier, founded in 1717. This vineyard is also notable for being located in the Valdobbiadene area. It is the only appellation in Italy with DOCG status, where Prosecco wines are produced. The vineyard is planted on the slopes of a natural amphitheater, protected by the Dolomite mountains from cold winds. Inside the amphitheater, a special microclimate has formed, promoting smooth and complete ripening of the grapes. The vineyard is planted on limestone soils, where the Glera grape variety, also known as Prosecco, is cultivated. This grape is used to produce the classic wine of the same name with good acidity and pleasant light sweetness in taste. The Adriano Adami estate produces Brut wines, equally suitable for lovers of dry and semi-sweet wines. All wines produced by the Adriano Adami estate have been repeatedly recognized by renowned wine critics. The wine magazine Wine Spirits awarded the Adriano Adami estate the title of best producer of the year in 2009.
