In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced a drink called Absolut Rent Branvin, which translates to "absolutely pure vodka", made using continuous distillation technology. The essence of this process is an unlimited number of distillation cycles instead of the usual three to four. A century later, in 1979, the world learned about this drink.
