Interesting facts
Goru El Blanco is a bright, open, enticing, well-balanced, and rich white wine with abundant fruity notes in taste and aroma. The wine is made from Muscat of Alexandria and Chardonnay grapes, harvested manually at night, at the moment of optimal berry ripeness. The fermentation of the must takes place at low temperatures to preserve the individual characteristics of each variety. The "Goru" El Blanco has received numerous awards, including gold medals at the "Gilbert & Gaillard, 2018", "International Wine Awards, 2017", and "Berliner Wein Trophy, 2016."
About the Manufacturer
Ego Bodegas was founded in the Jumilla region in 2011 from scratch. Its founders, Santos Ortiz and Ioana Paunescu, had neither winemaking heritage nor experience. But they were united by a passion for wine and a strong desire to put in maximum effort to produce it. Today, the winery owns 35 hectares of vineyards, primarily cultivating the indigenous Monastrell grape. The Ego Bodegas team produces super wines at super prices. By using the latest technologies combined with brilliant winemaking, Ego Bodegas is able to ensure the purity of the fruit and the best expression of the Monastrell variety. Their delicate approach to winemaking is also expressed in the aging process, where oak barrels add a gentle spiciness and creaminess to the wines without ever overpowering the fruity style. The wines of Ego Bodegas, simply singing in the glass, bring pleasure and a desire to take another sip immediately.
