Interesting facts
The wine "Friendly" Gruner Veltliner is made from grapes grown on loess and gravel soils in the Kamptal region. Cool air masses from the northern Waldviertel significantly reduce nighttime temperatures in Kamptal; this, in turn, slows down the ripening process of the grapes, giving the berries amazing fruitiness and freshness and the wine a true charm. Laurenz V. tells that recently, a restaurant owner on Trafalgar Square in London offered pop star Madonna the wine of the month—"Friendly." Madonna tried it, smiled, and admitted: "Yes, I love it!"
About the Manufacturer
In 2004, Laurenz Maria Moser V, a descendant of the famous Austrian winemaker Lenz Moser, who dedicated himself entirely to the cultivation of the Gruner Veltliner grape variety, with the support of two partners, released his first wine to the market for the first time. Over 10 years, he presented 7 more of his wines to connoisseurs and critics: "Forbidden," "Sunny," "Singing," "Friendly," "Silver Bullet," "Charming," and "Four." The winemaker's enthusiasm, his vast knowledge and experience led to the emergence of a unique world style of Gruner Veltliner, characteristic features of which were a combination of subtle spicy aroma and a lively, elegant taste with refined acidity, creating a unique charm. Laurenz V. inherited knowledge from his grandfather, the legendary "Grandfather of Gruner"—Professor Dr. Lorenz Moser III, who invented and developed the Austrian vine training system "Lenz Moser Hocherziehung," which revolutionized viticulture in Europe. His advice to his grandson became a motto for Laurenz V.: "Focus on important life tasks and do them well. And as for the art of making an excellent Gruner Veltliner, you just need to grow high-quality grapes and simply not spoil them in the cellar!"
