Domaine Laporte Sancerre AOC Les Grandmontains 2022

The Domaine Laporte winery was founded in 1850 in the heart of the prestigious Sancerre region and is now known worldwide for its wines of the highest quality. Domaine Laporte is located in the Loire Valley, 200 km from Paris. The vineyards in Sancerre cover an area of 2,300 sq. m. Here, Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted on 20 hectares for the production of white wines, while the remaining area (5 hectares) is planted with Pinot Noir vines to create exquisite red and rosé wines. The estate is located on the edge of a valley called La Cassure de Sancerre, a unique geological formation containing two types of soil: limestone on one side of the valley and flint on the other. The grapes grow on both types of soil, and vinification from different plots is carried out separately, according to the characteristics of the soil, which endows each wine with individual characteristics.
