Interesting facts
"Casa Saulita" Cabernet Sauvignon — an elegant dry red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the company's vineyards in the Central Valley of Chile. The Central Valley of Chile is the cradle of the culture and traditions of the entire country, as well as a leading wine-producing area that produces rich wines with a distinctive character. The ideal local climate allows for optimal ripeness and quality of the grapes grown. After harvesting, which is done at the moment of optimal berry ripeness, the grapes undergo traditional vinification at controlled temperatures.
About the Manufacturer
In 1996, Bernard Dore convinced his friends, Jean-Pierre Cayard and Claude Florence, to realize a crazy idea — to join him in creating a winery in Apalta, Chile. Thus, the company Vina las Ninas (Vina Del Nuevo Mundo) was born. The women from the three families soon fell in love with the lands of the Colchagua Valley, located just two hours south of Santiago, the capital of the country. They took on a task that lasted about three years… It was the women of the Dore, Cayard, and Florence families who planted 160 hectares of land with Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache Noir, Merlot, and Chardonnay vines, while the famous Chilean architect Matias Klotz designed and built the winery. Environmental sustainability is a key focus in the company's development.
