Interesting facts
A refined Haut-Medoc created by Latifa in honor of her mentor Jean-Pierre Dupuy. The wine blend includes Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and, depending on the vintage, a small proportion of Petit Verdot. The grapes are grown in Haut-Medoc, and during the growing season, practices such as bud and leaf removal and "green harvesting" are applied. Traditional vinification and aging of the wine take place in stainless steel tanks. The wine has excellent aging potential — 5-10 years.
About the Manufacturer
Chateau Le Mont du Puit in Haut-Medoc is managed by female winemaker Latifa Saikouk from a Moroccan family, which is quite rare for Bordeaux. She studied winemaking at university, and later her mentor Jean-Pierre Dupuy helped her acquire her own vineyards. In 2020, she received the Order of Agricultural Merit from the Ministry. Her work is based on the ancient traditions of Medoc, but Latifa strives to bring her own touch to create a wine that is uniquely hers. The estate produces red, rosé, and white wines.
