A descendant of an ancient family from the Cognac region, Amadeus Edward Dor left his job at a bank to pursue his dream of founding his own Cognac House. It took him over 20 years to achieve this. A great connoisseur of cognac, relying on his taste, he wanted to create a unique cognac, and he succeeded. Demonstrating foresight, in 1874, when the phylloxera epidemic began, which destroyed almost all vineyards in the Charente region, he started buying aged cognac spirits. Indeed, some time later, these spirits gained immense value. After decades of aging in Limousin oak barrels, the old cognacs were bottled in large, woven bottles and sealed with wax. These vintages mainly date back to 1805-1893 and have certificates of production year and status. Today, A.E. DOR produces a whole range of products available to a wide audience. Jacques Rivière, a descendant and current owner of the cognac house, along with his son Pierre-Antoine, carefully adhere to tradition and create magnificent cognacs. The A.E.
