The expressive, intoxicating aroma of the wine is filled with notes of cherry compote, blueberries, lavender, ripe red berries, anise, mocha coffee, fresh flowers, pepper, and other spices.
The plush, rounded, seamless, soft, and sweet taste of the wine offers hints of smoke, blueberries, minerals, dark chocolate, black currants, cherries, and lavender, complicated by notes of candied flowers, licorice, earth, and oak. In the long, juicy, sweet finish, nuances of spices and red berries remain.
The wine pairs well with red meat and poultry dishes, as well as with risotto, pasta, and cheeses.

Interesting facts
The wine "Veraton" is the magic of the Moncayo mountain, the delightful terroir, and the oldest Garnacha vines in Campo de Borja, some of which are over 100 years old, along with the great talent of winemaker Jorge Ordonez, whose every news of a new wine evokes one reaction: we take our hats off! His ability to select vineyards and surround himself with professionals to present exquisite wines in the future is truly admirable. These wines indeed have their own special style, with quality and elegance as their essential components. Aged for 17 months in French and American oak barrels and bottled without filtration, "Veraton" represents a modern, stylish, powerful, and rich wine with excellent aging potential for at least 10 years.
About the Manufacturer
The Alto Moncayo winery is a joint venture founded in 2002 by winemakers Jose Miguel San Martin, Jorge Ordonez, Dan Phillips, and the legend of Australian winemaking Chris Ringland. The winery is located in the town of Bulbuente, and the estate's vineyards stretch over 62 hectares around. The vineyards are situated in hilly terrain, between the Sierra del Moncayo mountains and the banks of the Ebro River. The climate here features cold winters and brief hot summers. Naturally, with such a sharply continental climate, the yield is quite low, and the healthiest and strongest vines are selected by nature itself. The soil of this area is also special — it consists of red clay and red slate, and due to its location in hilly terrain, it is very low in organic matter. The legendary Australian winemaker Chris Ringland works true magic with Garnacha grapes. His wines are rich, lively, and vibrant. One should not be afraid of the bright color of Alto Moncayo wines — the specific color is given by both the grape and the terroir of the Campo de Borja region.
