Interesting facts
Montelvini Prosecco DOC Rose Brut is a harmonious, aromatic, versatile sparkling rosé wine, the perfect drink for parties and gatherings with friends. It is part of the "Promosso" collection. Traditions and elegance meet in the "Promosso" collection, a true signature of Montelvini's history, designed for pouring in wine bars and for cocktail making. The cuvée is made from selected grapes of Glera and Pinot Noir from the most suitable vineyards for producing sparkling wines. The grapes are harvested and vinified separately to maximize the varietal characteristics of each variety, and only at the subsequent stage is the blend created. The must is obtained from Glera grapes through gentle pressing of the bunches. It is then clarified and fermented at a constant temperature of 17 °C using selected varietal yeasts. The vinification of Pinot Noir includes a short maceration in contact with the skins to extract color and varietal aromas. After blending, secondary fermentation takes place in an autoclave. Aging on fine lees lasts about 65 days. Before bottling, Prosecco Rosé Brut is stabilized and subjected to microfiltration.
About the Manufacturer
The Treviso wine region is characterized by a mild Mediterranean climate, with relatively mild winters and warm summers. The Treviso area is quite hilly. The grapes grow at altitudes ranging from 50 to 500 meters above sea level. Since 1881, the history of the Treviso area has been inextricably linked to the history of the Serena family, the founders of the "Montelvini" winery. From father to son, the work and passion for their craft have passed through five generations. However, the current president of "Montelvini," Armando Serena, has deviated from the rules of the family business and built a new winery on a plot of land in Venegazzù. It is at this winery that wines have become a benchmark for Italian wines. Today, "Montelvini" wines are distinguished by their unique style, combining winemaking traditions with innovations, as well as the highest quality.
