Bardos Romantica Ribera del Duero DO

The wines of the "Bardos" series, made from hand-harvested grapes from the oldest vineyards in the Ribera del Duero and Rueda regions, reflect the individuality of the Castilian landscape and climate. In this area, it is rare to find wines that are so elegant and refined. To create the dry red wine "Bardos" Romantica, the producer uses Tinto del País grapes, also known as Tempranillo. The old vineyards with low yields are located in Paramo de Corcos (Burgos) and in Soria at an altitude of over 900 meters above sea level. Harvesting is done by hand in late September to early October. Maceration and fermentation take place in 15-ton containers at a controlled temperature of 28 ºC for 3-4 weeks. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 14 months in barrels made of French and Eastern European oak.
