"Laudum" Roble red dry wine is a magnificent example of concentrated beauty from the indigenous Spanish grape Monastrell (Mourvèdre) and the warm spiciness of the vibrant Syrah variety. The wine embodies the best of the dry Mediterranean climate of Alicante and ripe grapes carefully hand-harvested from old 15-year-old and 40-year-old vines. Before processing, the berries underwent a cold maceration stage, and malolactic fermentation was carried out at controlled temperatures. The "Laudum" Roble, 2022 vintage was aged in barrels made of French, American, and Hungarian fine-grained oak for 4 months. The outstanding quality of the drink is emphasized by an equally luxurious bottle styled like a classic Roman column. The packaging design was awarded the World Design Award at the American competition "The Dieline Awards" in 2016. The 2022 vintage of "Laudum" is highly rated by critics and well reflects the meaning behind the brand name ("laudum" translates from Latin as "praise, glory, excellence"). In the Spanish wine guide "DNA Guide Harvest 2025," the wine received 93 points out of 100.
About the Manufacturer
Bodegas Bocopa was founded in 1987 when a group of small wine cooperatives from Alicante joined forces to expand markets. This decision was pivotal, and the new company quickly gained a leading position in Valencia. The successful start of the enterprise is symbolized by the Bodegas Bocopa logo, which features tightly packed grape berries—symbolizing cooperation and interaction. The first jointly produced wine of the brand “Vina Alone” won three gold medals at the Alicante Wine Exhibition. A turning point came in 1993 with the launch of the "Marina Alta" wine collection. At the VINEXPO exhibition in Bordeaux, considered one of the most significant, wines from this brand won a gold medal. The first 50,000 bottles of “Marina Alta” sold out in just a few days.
