"Private Selection" Pinot Noir is an elegant and fresh red dry wine made from Pinot Noir grapes grown on coastal vineyards of Central California, which imparts complex flavor nuances to the glass. Harvesting is done in the cool morning and evening hours from September to October. At the winery, the grapes are destemmed and the berries undergo gentle crushing. The must is then cooled, followed by fermentation at controlled low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. After the completion of malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. In the spring of 2019, heavy rains in California posed a threat of mold spread. The summer was warm, with moderate temperatures. Morning fog provided a cooling effect for the vines, helping to maintain the necessary acidity and aromatic qualities of the grapes. The extended growing season allowed for a leisurely harvest under favorable conditions. Fortunately, the harvest was completed before October 23, when massive wildfires erupted, and smoke taint became a serious threat. The fires were among the most severe in California's history, and several wineries were unfortunately destroyed. Despite this, the 2019 vintage in California showed very good results.
