Interesting facts
Charles de Cazanove, Tradition Rose Brut is a refined rosé champagne that is a harmonious blend of the fruitiness of Pinot Noir, the elegance of Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. Each grape variety is grown in its ideal terroir, allowing it to reveal its full potential: Chardonnay in the Côte de Sézanne, Pinot Noir in the Montagne de Reims, and Pinot Meunier in the Marne Valley. The harvest is done by hand; at the winery, the grapes undergo traditional fermentation with strict temperature control. Before bottling, the base wine is blended with reserve wine (25%) and red wine from the Marne Valley (15%), giving the champagne its delicate pink color. Secondary fermentation and aging take place in the bottle. Aging on the lees lasts for a minimum of 3 years.
About the Manufacturer
In 1811, Charles Gabriel de Cazanove, a 24-year-old from a family of master glassmakers, founded his own champagne house, Charles de Cazanove, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. However, it was his son, Charles Nicolas, born in 1818, who contributed to the brand's growth. A businessman and chairman of the horticultural society of the Épernay district, Nicolas applied his botanical knowledge to fight phylloxera and transformed Charles de Cazanove into a respectable company. For many decades, the reins were passed from generation to generation until 1958, when Charles de Cazanove came under the control of Martini & Rossi, and from 1983, under the control of the Moët-Hennessy Group. In 1985, the champagne house was bought by the distributor of prestigious brands, S.A.M.E. Today, Charles de Cazanove uses efficient oenological and technological equipment and produces more than 3 million bottles per year. Authentic champagnes from a unique terroir, made in accordance with ancestral traditions, captivate many consumers worldwide.
