About the Manufacturer
The Ravazzi cellars, established in 1956, are located in Palazzone, in the province of Siena. Founded by Enio Ravazzi, the company initially relied on four hectares of vineyards located in an area with high winemaking potential, one of the best in the Sienese Chianti and Tuscany. The process of expanding the Ravazzi cellars, now occupying 18 hectares of vineyards, began in 1986 when Alberto Ravazzi, Enio's son and the current owner of the cellars, joined the company. Alongside typical Sienese Chianti varieties such as Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino, and Malvasia del Chianti, foreign plantings of Sagrantino, Merlot, and Vermentino Bianco have been successfully tested over time. Utilizing the excellent soil exposure, with a favorable composition for growing vines, the producer cultivates and harvests quality grapes. The grapes are carefully processed in the cellar, using modern and efficient enological tools, always with maximum respect for traditions and intrinsic characteristics. Every production process is meticulously controlled, from strictly manual harvesting to fermentation and aging. Thus, thanks to numerous international awards won in recent years, as well as the recognition the company has earned among national wine critics for its flagship wines, the Ravazzi winery has developed a wide range of diverse and intriguing products. From sparkling and rosé wines to the most powerful red wines of exquisite style.
