The "Rapaura Springs" Bull Paddock Sauvignon Blanc won a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge 2018. The wine is named because the previous landowner of the vineyard said it was only good for raising bulls. He was wrong. This vineyard produces an impressive Sauvignon Blanc, filled with classic gooseberry, grass, and elderflower, enriched with guava, blackcurrant, and a pinch of sea salt. Using underground springs that create a small oasis in the Marlborough landscape, they produce absolutely superb Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
