Interesting facts
"Single Vineyard" is a term used in winemaking that means the wine in the bottle is made from grapes harvested from a single vineyard site. It was chosen for a specific variety due to the exceptional combination of soil, topographical features, water availability, sunlight, and temperature conditions, which together allow the varietal characteristics of the grapes to fully express themselves and create premium wines. Therefore, "single vineyard" is essentially a mark of quality. The wines from the "Insight" line come from the Marlborough Valley, where the winemakers of Vinultra create wines with the help of Mother Nature. Here, wine is considered one of life's true pleasures in such a hectic time. It is meant to create a sense of happiness, relaxation, and tranquility. Such is the uniquely pure and fresh wine "Insight" Sauvignon Blanc. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are hand-harvested, after which the berries are quickly transported to the winery to preserve their natural aroma. After separating them from the stems, the fruits are gently pressed, the resulting juice is filtered, and it is sent to ferment in stainless steel tanks by gravity. The juice is inoculated with a specific yeast strain that will help convert the natural sugars of the grapes into alcohol. After fermentation, the wine ages for several months in steel tanks.
About the Manufacturer
Vinultra is a relatively young company founded in 2008 in New Zealand's Waihopai Valley. Hemi Duns and Fleur McCree decided to acquire land for vineyards in 2002. A few years after planting the vines, they began supplying selected grapes to other wineries in the region. When the vines reached a certain maturity, and the fruits had the desired density and balance, Hemi, Fleur, and Evelyn Fraser (one of New Zealand's most experienced winemakers) began the meticulous work of producing their own wines. These three charming women, using their experience in winemaking, managed to bring the company's wines to the global market, winning the hearts of many connoisseurs in various countries. Today, Vinultra has captured markets in many countries around the world, and their products are popular in many well-known restaurants and bars.
