Interesting facts
Irish whiskey "Green Spot" is produced by the renowned John Jameson & Sons at the Midleton distillery located in County Cork, for the merchant Mitchell & Son. The whiskey belongs to the "pure pot still" category, meaning it is made from malted barley. Previously, "Pat Whiskey" from the "pure pot still" category was particularly valued, which, due to its high reputation as a pure product, was even recommended for medicinal use. Now, "Pat Whiskey" is produced under a different name - "Green Spot". The whiskey is aged in cellars for 7-8 years in bourbon and sherry casks, under the influence of which the drink acquires a sweet, spicy taste.
About the Manufacturer
The "Green Spot" whiskey is made at the Midleton distillery, which became part of the Cork Distilleries company in 1868, and a hundred years later, there was another merger with the Irish Distillers Group. Today, the Midleton distillery belongs to the Irish Distillers association and is a key center for whiskey production in Ireland.
