Method and Madness Single Malt

Method and Madness is a brand that became the first creation of The Micro Distillery Midleton in 2017. The brand's line consists of all major styles of whiskey, namely: Single Malt Irish Whiskey, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, and Single Grain Irish Whiskey. Midleton - the most powerful distillery in the world continues to amaze. In 2015, a modern micro-distillery was created in one of the rooms of the old distillery, aimed at reproducing Irish whiskeys using ancient recipes of John Jameson II dated 1826, which are stored in the archives of Midleton, as well as creating new unique releases using the accumulated knowledge and modern technologies available to the distillery specialists today. Unlike the 80,000-liter copper pot stills used in the main production facilities of Midleton, the micro-distillery uses three small-volume copper pot stills: Wash Still - 2500 liters, Faints Still - 1500 liters, and Spirit Still - 1500 liters. It is these small-volume copper pot stills that allow for a more refined and yet more complex distillate. The use of barrels from different types of wood endows the distillate with a wide range of aromatic and flavor properties.
