About the Manufacturer
Bushmills is considered the oldest distillery in the world to have received an official license to produce whiskey. This event dates back to 1608 when the owner of the distillery was a certain Thomas Phillips, who was in the proximity of the King of Northern Ireland. It is not surprising that "Bushmills" is regarded as the benchmark for quality for whiskey produced in Ireland. Each generation of owners of "Bushmills" has made its knowledgeable, wise, commercial, professional, and creative contribution to the development of the distillery, improving its production capabilities and product quality. For a considerable time, whiskey was created using peat-dried malt. "Bushmills" was the only company that applied this method in Ireland. The uniqueness of "Bushmills" whiskey also lies in the fact that only barley is used, and triple distillation is applied. Today, the "Bushmills" company has decided to merge with the "Coleraine" company.
