Interesting facts
"Tullamore Dew" 10 Years Old has been produced since 2009 exclusively from malted barley. After harvesting, the grain is crushed and mixed with hot water, then fermentation begins in wooden vats. During fermentation, sugar in the grains is converted into alcohol, creating a strong but sour wort reminiscent of beer. After triple distillation, the alcohol content increases, and the aroma becomes richer. After distillation, the whiskey is aged in four different types of casks: bourbon, sherry, port, and madeira. This production feature makes "Tullamore Dew" not only unique in Ireland but also among similar drinks worldwide. The whiskey significantly surpasses its peers in organoleptic qualities, showcasing an incomparable aroma and dense, powerful structure. Numerous awards for "Tullamore Dew" 10-Year-Old eloquently speak of its quality and exceptional taste: 2012 - gold at the "International Wine & Spirit Competition"; 2013 - silver at the "World Spirits Competition" and gold at the "Los Angeles Wine & Spirits Competition"; 2014 - silver at "The Irish Whisky Masters" (The Spirits Business) and "International Wine & Spirit Competition."
