The whiskey has an amber color.
Fresh, lively, with notes of orange, lemon zest, marshmallow, fruit cake, and sweet gingerbread.
The rich, delightfully complex taste of the whiskey harmoniously combines fruity and spicy notes, among which hints of orange zest, apricot, fresh lemon, and spicy nuances of clove, ginger, and allspice can be detected. The taste unfolds slowly and gradually, while the complex and layered finish completes the magnificent composition.

Interesting facts
The second drink from the original line launched in 2017, Method and Madness Single Pot Irish Whiskey Finished in French Chestnut, is even more interesting in its production. Initially, the whiskey is aged in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. The latter imparts a special softness, fruity tones, and rich color. The whiskey is then blended and transferred to a barrel made from French chestnut. This is a very curious decision. Chestnut has been rarely used in the production of premium spirits due to its low tannin content. This is why Method and Madness Finished in French Chestnut is characterized by an astonishingly soft, light, and fruity taste.
About the Manufacturer
Producers of premium spirits in general and Irish whiskey in particular are usually very conservative. They use production technologies similar to those that have been applied for decades and centuries. This approach allows them to produce truly premium drinks. However, in the 21st century, limiting oneself to only ancient technologies is not desirable for anyone. The thirst for experimentation remains. Therefore, some producers release alternative lines of whiskey that maintain the old approach while introducing small innovations. One such producer is Irish Distillers. In February 2017, they launched the Method and Madness line - an experimental project in which whiskey is produced with the implementation of new technologies or solutions.
