Interesting facts
Champagne Loriot-Pagel, Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru is an exquisite, delicate Champagne made from Chardonnay grapes harvested from exceptional terroirs in the Côte des Blancs. The wine includes grapes from three Grand Cru vineyards in the areas of Cramant (70%), Avize (25%), and Oger (5%). Vinification takes place in small stainless steel tanks. After secondary fermentation, the Champagne ages on the lees for about 4.5 years. The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru has won Gold medals at the "Concours International de Lyon" and "Concours Mondial des Féminalise," a Bronze medal at the "Concours des Vins des Vignerons Indépendants," and has earned a rating in the "Gault & Millau" Champagne guide.
About the Manufacturer
The history of the Champagne Loriot-Pagel House began in 1838. The current owner, Jean-Philippe Loriot, says he has never seen anything but winemakers and winemaking and practically grew up in the vineyards. From his parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, he inherited a love for the terroir and the ability to work selflessly and care for the land. He also inherited from his ancestors a passion for winemaking and the know-how of 6 generations. Jean-Philippe's father, Joseph Loriot, taught his son to "listen to the vine and perceive the expression of our wines," showing him how to blend wines and create compositions based on the search for balance and identity. With the support of his sister Alice, Jean-Philippe Loriot dedicates himself entirely to working in the vineyards and creating generous and respectful Champagnes.
