Interesting facts
An impressive, highly successful biodynamic wine, Corvezzo, Pinot Grigio delle Venezie introduces us to the modern winemaking style of the Italian region of Veneto. This area produces the best wines in the country, ranking third in production volume. The wine is made from Pinot Grigio grapes, which are quickly delivered to the winery after harvest, crushed, and gently pressed at low temperatures. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, and concrete vessels are used for aging the wine. Corvezzo, Pinot Grigio has won silver medals at the "Organic Global Masters" and "Berliner Wein Trophy," as well as bronze at the "IWSC."
About the Manufacturer
The family winery Corvezzo is located near Venice, in the town of Cessalto. The lands here have always been generous and fertile, attracting both ancient Romans and, over time, Venetian nobility with their beautiful landscapes. In the past, the villas here were owned by the wealthiest members of the Venetian classes, and one such villa was the prestigious Villa Morosina, where Giuseppe Corvezzo lived in the early 20th century. In 1960, his son Giovanni founded the winery, eventually passing the reins to his grandchildren — Giuseppe and Renzo. The vineyard area grew to 140 hectares, and a new stage of development began when Renzo Corvezzo took over. Today, the traditions of the family business are continued by Renzo's children — son Giovanni and daughter Katya. Inheriting their ancestors' love for fertile lands and striving to repay them with careful stewardship, the new generation of Corvezzo winemakers practices organic farming and winemaking methods. The Corvezzo winery is a symbiosis of history and modernity. Honoring traditional winemaking methods while respecting and valuing the land where the vines grow, they also apply modern technologies that help improve the winemaking process and enhance quality. The winery's cellars are lined with ancient stones that have been preserved here. However, to create proper wine storage conditions, they are equipped with special equipment to maintain optimal light, temperature, and humidity parameters. The Corvezzo winery is always happy to welcome visitors. There is a special bar on the premises where visitors can taste Corvezzo's red and white wines accompanied by traditional Mediterranean snacks.
