Interesting facts
The magnificent rosé sparkling wine "Brut Dargent" Pinot Noir Rose is produced using the "champenoise" method — secondary fermentation is conducted in bottles. The wine is made from the best Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Jura region, which is the smallest wine region in France. In the 13th century, wines from the Jura region were among the most prestigious in Europe, but with the invasion of phylloxera, much of the vineyards were destroyed. The Pinot Noir vines grow predominantly on limestone soils, at an altitude of 250-400 meters. The Brut undergoes a two-phase aging: first briefly in steel tanks, then in bottles. The unforgettable rosé sparkling wine "Brut Dargent" will adorn any celebration and bring wonderful joy!
About the Manufacturer
In 1986, the group "Les Grands Chais de France" took over the company founded in 1981 in Crans, in the Jura wine region. Initially, the company had a long name, "La Compagnie des grands vins du Jura", but was later renamed "La Maison du Vigneron". Based on rich winemaking experience and applied know-how, today the company offers a wide range of Jura wines: dry white wines, red wines, yellow wines (vin jaune), dessert straw wines, sparkling wines, crémants, and macvin wines. The company`s activities cover the entire sector — from production and aging of wine to bottling and sales. Wines are created from carefully selected grapes according to the highest standards. Thanks to the excellent terroir and rich winemaking traditions, Jura wines have a high reputation. In the 19th century, vineyards covering nearly 20,000 hectares were destroyed by phylloxera. Jura winemakers revived viticulture, for which they were rewarded with the AOC designation in 1936. The companies of "La Maison du Vigneron" own two estates. The first is Domaine de Savani, covering 8 hectares, established over 20 years ago. It is located in the historic center of the Jura region. All wines here are aged according to traditions in oak barrels. The vineyards are located in the Lavigny area with excellent clay-limestone soils. The second estate is Domaine de Quillo, covering 18 hectares, with vineyard plots located in several areas of Jura: Château-Chalon, Lavigny, Passnan, with soils containing clay, limestone, and blue marl. In short, "La Maison du Vigneron" is a place where the richness and magnificence of the Jura region unfold!
