Interesting facts
"Freres Carod" Petillant Naturel is a white semi-dry sparkling wine made from Muscat Blanc grapes in Petit Gren. The berries grow on the company's vineyards on marl-clay-limestone soils. Harvesting is done at the moment of optimal ripeness, and the must undergoes fermentation in steel tanks at low temperatures. Secondary fermentation occurs in bottles using the "ancestral" method.
About the Manufacturer
Les Grands Chais de France (GCF) is a group of companies founded in Petersbach in 1979 by Joseph Helfrich. The main location of the companies is Vosges du Nord (in southern France). Today, Les Grands Chais de France is a large and successful company engaged in the production of quality French beverages, primarily focused on export (over 70% of production). GCF owns vineyards in many wine regions of the country — Alsace, Loire Valley, Bordeaux (Landiras), Beaujolais (P. Desvignes), and Languedoc-Roussillon (Domaine de la Baume). A distinctive feature of GCF is the desire to preserve long-standing traditions while combining them with innovations in the world of winemaking. This is achieved through the extensive experience of more than 1200 employees of the company. The annual turnover of Les Grands Chais de France is around 700 million euros. The production volume is about 1,000,000 bottles per day. The company's production facilities occupy 12.8 hectares.
