The company "Santa Barbara", located on the Barbara hills, began its activity with two tasks: developing local grape varieties—Verdicchio and Montepulciano, and creating international-class wines that have individuality and originality. The name of the company comes from the Latin word "Barbarus", meaning "barbarian, foreigner". The founder of the company, Stefano Antonucci, is a charismatic and eclectic personality. For 10 years, he honed his craft, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed—Santa Barbara wines annually receive various awards and medals. The winery owns 45 hectares of vineyards, with harvests carried out manually under the careful guidance of specialists. Each year, 65,000 bottles of wine are produced, of which 40% is exported worldwide.
