Jose Pariente, Verdejo is the flagship wine of the company, crafted from organic grapes sourced from both the old vineyards of the Pariente family and small, old vineyards in the Rueda region. Rueda is located on a high plateau in Castile, in a continental climate zone heavily influenced by Atlantic air masses, characterized by moderate summer temperatures. The limestone soils rich in iron contribute to the cultivation of grapes best suited for producing high-quality dry white wines. After harvest, the grape must is fermented in stainless steel tanks, concrete tanks, and wooden vats. The wines are then left on the lees for 4 months before blending and bottling.
About the Manufacturer
The Bodegas Jose Pariente winery was established by renowned enologists Victoria Benavides and Victoria Pariente, who, after many years of work at a research institute, focused on winemaking and viticulture issues. Not long ago, the winery participated in the Dos Victoris project, which produced magnificent wines that created a sensation both in Spain and beyond. Currently, the project has ceased to exist, and Victoria Pariente works independently on the vineyards inherited from her father, Jose Pariente, whose name the winery bears.
