About the Manufacturer
The Ruggeri company was founded by Giustino Bizzol in 1950, whose family took pride in rich winemaking traditions in the Valdobbiadene region. It is known that the Bizzol family has been growing grapes since 1542. In 1920, enologist Luigi Bizzol built a winery in the town of Montebelluna, and in 1950, Luigi`s son, Giustino Bizzol, founded the Ruggeri winery and began producing sparkling wines from Prosecco and Cartizze varieties. In 1993, the winery was moved to a new large and ergonomically designed building. Ruggeri sources grapes from 200 top estates, and thanks to the latest technical innovations, the entire harvest is processed within 10 days after picking. The berries are carefully selected, pressed, and fermented according to the latest enological standards. The Ruggeri winery has been repeatedly awarded prestigious prizes in the field of winemaking both in Europe and worldwide. The chief enologist of the company, Paolo Bizzol, has already become a celebrity in his lifetime, thanks to his ability to create wines of unparalleled richness and quality.
