About the Manufacturer
Opus One was born from the collaboration of two great winemakers of the 20th century: the famous Bordeaux producer Baron Philippe Rothschild and the equally renowned Robert Mondavi from California, who realized this joint project. The name was chosen to be written the same on the label in both French and English. Baron Rothschild suggested the Latin word Opus, which composers use to refer to their works. Robert Mondavi added the word One, which can be understood as a first experience, but rather as a one-of-a-kind endeavor. This Bordeaux-style wine is indeed unique and unparalleled, a magnificent work of two great winemakers.
