About the Manufacturer
Cervantes Family Vineyards, located on a 1100-acre ranch in the eastern part of Napa Valley, is the most renowned project where winemaker Andy Erickson (Favia, Dalla Valle, Mayacamas, Arietta, and previously Screaming Eagle, Harlan, and Staglin) and the Cervantes family cultivate grapes, creating exemplary wines for Napa Valley. Wild deer and bears still inhabit the estate, giving these elegant and refined wines a sense of unexplored wilderness. The Cervantes estate, which he calls Hine Ranch, is the most renowned project where estate-produced wine from Pope Valley is bottled, produced at the Pope Valley winery. Xavier hired winemaker Andy Erickson to participate in his exciting adventure, as well as renowned architect Howard Backen (Harlan, Kenzo, Futo) to build the winery and equestrian center on the estate; they were united by a bold, unique dream to realize the full potential of the little-known terroir of Pope Valley and finally pay tribute to one of Napa's greatest landscapes.
