Interesting facts
Thalarn is a single-varietal Syrah produced from its own vineyard located in the municipality of Talarn, a small village in the Pyrenees, at an altitude of 850 to 1000 meters. This winery produces wines at the highest altitude in Spain. The vineyards are planted on clay-limestone soils with low organic matter content. After hand harvesting into small 10-kilogram boxes, the wine is fermented in various materials, including wooden barrels, stainless steel tanks, and stone containers, allowing for diverse nuances and exceptional aromatic complexity. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels for 12 months. The wine is neither clarified nor filtered.
