Interesting facts
This powerful red wine from Spain is produced from the Garnacha grape variety. After hand harvesting, the grapes are quickly delivered to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel and fine wood tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, Light My Fire Tinto is aged for another 9 months in French and American oak barrels. Light My Fire is the first song written by Robbie Krieger, the guitarist of The Doors. Apparently, Jim Morrison turned to his bandmates for help in writing several songs. Krieger asked him what he could write about, and Morrison replied something universal. Thus, Krieger was inspired by the four elements: Earth, Wind, Sea, and Fire, although later he would focus only on one of them, Fire; influenced by Play with Fire by The Rolling Stones. On December 12, 1970, Light My Fire became the last song Jim Morrison sang at The Warehouse in New Orleans before his death in Paris on July 3, 1971.
