Interesting facts
"Arienzo" Crianza is a charming wine made from selected Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo grapes. The harvest is carried out only when the grapes reach optimal ripeness. Vinification involves fermentation and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks under carefully controlled temperatures. Aging in oak barrels lasts 18 months.

Marques de Riscal is a benchmark winery in Rioja: excellent wines, a long history dating back to 1858, a unique modern architecture now beloved in Spain, and the ability to do what is necessary, regardless of opposition or mockery. The owners of Marques de Riscal like to call their winery a "21st-century chateau." This is beautifully demonstrated by the modern complex "City of Wine," built on the estate in 2006—a project designed to help the curious explore the world of wine. This cyclopean structure by the famous Frank Gehry, with its three-colored metal "frills," has already become a symbol of the new Rioja. According to legend, Gehry was ready to decline the project, but after tasting the Marques de Riscal Reserva 1929, made in the year of the architect's birth, he admitted: "I just can't say no to you." The complex includes not only modern wine cellars and laboratories but also hotels, restaurants, and a conference hall. Today, the estate's wines are present in more than 100 countries, with 60% of production exported. The wines are distinguished by their original, fresh, elegant taste and drinkability.
