Mumm Champagne, "Grand Cordon" is presented in a revolutionary bottle, the avant-garde design of which is the result of the collaboration between the cellar master and designer Ross Lovegrove, combining optimal enological form with the traditional red ribbon embedded in the glass. The ribbon of the Legion of Honor symbolizes the unparalleled quality of G.H. Mumm's products and perfectly aligns with Georges Mumm's motto: "Only the best." Breaking with traditional conventions, the bottle has no label: the emblem of the eagle and the Champagne House is printed in gold directly on the glass. Another striking feature of the design is the shape of the bottle, which requires a series of innovations in the traditional champagne production process. The "Grand Cordon" blend pays homage to the Pinot Noir grape, which dominates the composition of the champagne and symbolizes the House of Mumm. The cuvée also includes Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier, which impart fruity notes, freshness, and roundness to the wine. The grapes are harvested from 100 different crus, and to express the character of each terroir, the berries undergo separate vinification. The final blend is based on 300 base wines from the Champagne House. Before being released for sale, the wine is aged in cellars for 20 months.
