The flagship of the Realm portfolio, "The Bard" is a dense, weighty, and concentrated wine that showcases the best Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley year after year. Although the wine's composition changes from year to year, Cabernet Sauvignon typically makes up over 70% of the blend, with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and/or Petit Verdot. The label simply states Napa Valley, but the grapes are sourced from the finest vineyards in the valley: Blair, Houyi, Beckstoffer To Kalon, Beckstoffer Bourn, Larkmead, Realm SLD Estate, Farella, Orchard, and Bettinelli Upper Range. This star-studded list of locations in Napa Valley elevates this bottle to the highest level. It received high praise with 98 points from Jeb Dunnuck and 97 points from The Wine Independent, the publication of former Wine Advocate editor Lisa Perrotti-Brown.
