Interesting facts

Domaine Long-Depaquit, Chablis AOC is a crystal-clear, enchanting white wine made from selected Chardonnay grapes grown in the vineyards of Domaine Long-Depaquit in the Chablis appellation. Located in northern Burgundy, near Auxerre, the Chablis appellation covers fifteen kilometers around the town of the same name. The Cistercian monks of the Pontigny Abbey began cultivating grapes in this region. Chablis is situated on the southeastern edge of the Paris basin. The vineyards of Domaine Long-Depaquit are located on diverse and rich soils, giving the wine remarkable complexity. The vineyard soils are predominantly clay, limestone, and marl. The harvest is carried out in small boxes. The berries undergo slow pressing and static debourbage. To preserve minerality, the must is fermented at a controlled temperature of 18 °C. The wine is aged on lees in stainless steel tanks for 10 months. Chablis wine captivates with its taste and aroma from the first moments. The wine's potential is 3-5 years.

About the Manufacturer

Since 1350, the Bichot family has called Burgundy home. However, it was in 1831 that Bernard Bichot founded the merchant house bearing his name in Monthelie, a couple of kilometers south of Beaune. In the late 19th century, his grandson Albert Bichot directed the family business in a new direction and created the winery Maison Albert Bichot as we know it today. Since then, the family legacy has been passed down from father to son. The family crest, featuring a deer and antlers, has been synonymous with the winery since its inception.
