The Schioppettino wine, produced by Bruno Flaibani, beautifully represents the Friuli terroir. A magnificent red wine, intriguing, modern yet traditional. Made under the guidance of biodynamic farming master Alex Podolinski - Bruno Flaibani's mentor. Schioppettino is the prince of local red wines. Its uniqueness is due to the presence of rotundone, a molecule it shares with pepper and some grape varieties, including Schioppettino, which possess characteristic aromatic properties known to all. In cooler and rainier years, which are often characteristic of this small part of Friuli, there is no other grape variety in the world with such a concentration of rotundone! Vinification lasts 9 months in wooden barrels and a minimum of 6 months in bottles. Peppery notes blend with delicate aromas of rose and red fruits, which then alternate in taste. An absolutely mesmerizing wine!
