Interesting facts
Wines produced at the "Santa Cristina" winery are characterized by excellent freshness, bright fruity acidity, and a soft, harmonious, drinkable taste. The winery, located in a picturesque spot on the outskirts of the ancient town of Cortona, was built in 2006 and equipped with the latest technology to create fine wines. Since 2014, "Santa Cristina" Pinot Grigio has been produced from grapes from the Veneto region, a decision made to improve the wine's quality. The harvested grapes undergo destemming and gentle pressing, and the grape must is cooled to 8 °C and sent for fermentation in stainless steel tanks at temperatures not exceeding 15 °C. This technology allows for the preservation of the amazing aromas of the grapes and endows the wine with a fresh and harmonious taste. The wine is then aged for a while in stainless steel containers at 10 °C, filtered, and bottled.
