Interesting facts
The wine "Korem", brought to life by its creators — the Argiolas company, is one of the most revered drinks from the Italian island of Sardinia. The wine is made using traditional grape varieties, including Bovale Sardo (55%), which gives power to the taste, Carignano (35%), which forms a wonderful balance and good aging potential, and Cannonau (10%), which creates concentration and deep color. The label features an ancient Greek coin found in the vineyards of the company. The grapes for "Korem" are grown in Tenuta Sa Tanca, located at an altitude of 250-300 meters above sea level. The soils are medium, tending towards melting, with limestone and clay. The Mediterranean climate provides a good temperature range and excellent ventilation. The grapes for this wine are hand-harvested in the early morning hours, by the most qualified personnel. After careful sorting, the berries undergo maceration in ceramic tanks for 10-12 days, allowing the wine to achieve good balance even at a young age. Another feature of the production technology is fermentation using lactobacilli, which makes the taste rounder and fuller. The wine is aged first for 10-12 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, and then in bottles, where it matures for another 6 months. Thanks to all these nuances, the excellent "Korem" emerges, possessing a complex aroma and generous taste, and is currently one of the best wines in Italy, as evidenced by high ratings from the most renowned wine critics in the world.
