Interesting facts
Riesling is rightly considered the King of Alsace and, along with Chardonnay, is recognized as one of the most interesting white grape varieties in the world. In Alsace, Riesling occupies 3,500 hectares of a total vineyard area of 15,000 hectares. The wine produced from it by the Trimbach estate is considered the best Riesling in the region, and perhaps even in the world. Its high status has been maintained for many years, serving as a benchmark for the skill and professionalism of the Trimbach winemakers. The grapes for the wine are carefully selected in mid-October. Fermentation and aging of the wine take place in stainless steel tanks, which helps preserve the excellent acidity that influences the wine's longevity. The wine's storage potential is at least 5 years, during which it will become even more complex and richer.
About the Manufacturer
Trimbach is the most authoritative wine producer in Alsace. This estate has existed since 1626. Today, the family business is managed by Hubert and Bernard Trimbach, with younger family members Jean and Pierre actively participating in the affairs. The main task of the winemakers is to maintain the respectable image of the family enterprise. Moreover, the brothers aim to elevate Alsace winemaking to an unprecedented level. It should be noted that they are doing an excellent job — Trimbach wine is often referred to as the best of the best. For instance, in 2005, the Riesling "Cuvee Frederic Emile" 2000 vintage was named Wine of the Year by "The Wine Enthusiast."
