About the Manufacturer
Domaine Gressier is located in the Andlau valley in northeastern France. The estate offers a breathtaking view of the Andlau abbey. The vineyards of the estate are situated on all types of soils in the communes of Andlau and Eichhoffen. In total, the vineyards cover more than 11 hectares of land, certified in organic farming and cultivated according to biodynamic principles. The Gressier family hails from Switzerland, having migrated from the Italian locality of Valle d’Aosta and settled on the shores of Lake Constance. Several generations of the Gressier family have been engaged in winemaking for centuries. Today, the estate is led by Remy Gressier, who faithfully honors the winemaking traditions of his ancestors and is a proponent of organic viticulture. "For me, wine is primarily a combination of terroir and grape variety," says Remy Gressier. The transition to organic farming at the estate began gradually in 1980. In 2007, Domaine Gresser was fully prepared for conversion and certification in organic farming, and since 2010, the estate has adopted biodynamic principles in vineyard cultivation.
