Domaine Bunan Cotes de Provence Belouve Blanc

Belouve is an 18th-century villa that once belonged to monks. The Bunan family rented this land in 1978. The villa was restored for a long time, and the first harvest was collected only in 1993. Today, the Belouve vineyards produce three types of wine — red, rosé, and white. Several generations of the Bunan family lived in the French colony in Algeria, where they produced thick sweet red wines infused with medicinal herbs. The history of the Bunan estate began with the purchase of 25 hectares of land in Bandol by Paul and Pierre Bunan — the father and uncle of the current owner. Paul's son, Laurent, began working at the family estate Domaine Bunan after returning from California, where he studied winemaking. Laurent was the first of the new generation to adopt a modern approach to wine production. Today, he is responsible for export and development, while his sister Françoise handles design. Pierre's daughter, Claire, has a qualification in marketing, and her brother Philippe hopes to become an agronomist. Thanks to the excellent combination of family talents, Domaine Bunan has a highly skilled team proud of their work — wines of outstanding quality. The family currently oversees three estates in Bandol, one of which, Domaine de Belouve, is leased by the family.
