The elegant aroma of the wine is based on tones of ripe blackcurrant and blackberry, beautifully framed by hints of vanilla, oak, cigar, jam, clove, anise, and licorice.

Interesting facts
"Chapelle de Potensac" is the second wine of the Château Potensac estate, and although it is not as famous as its elder sibling Château Potensac, "La Chapelle" often receives high ratings from critics. For example, "Winedoctor" wrote in April 2009 that "Chapelle de Potensac is beautifully textured, with a fairly firm tannic backbone, and a pleasant aromatic component, crafted in a signature style. A worthy wine," while "Decanter" referred to "Chapelle de Potensac" as "a good example of the Medoc style." The blend of "La Chapelle de Potensac" 2017 is composed of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes. The Potensac vineyards are located on clay-gravel soils in the commune of Ordonnac in the northern Medoc, producing wines of significantly higher quality than other vineyards in this part of Medoc. This is due to the fact that the vines are heavily pruned, resulting in tiny yields of the highest quality grapes. The wine "Chapelle de Potensac" has an astonishingly fruity and smooth taste. The wine has a storage potential of 3-5 years.
About the Manufacturer
Originally, Château Potensac belonged to the Licard family, but it passed into the hands of the Delon family after the marriage of Paul Delon and the daughter of Licard. It is worth mentioning that the Delon name is much more recognized in the wine world. They also own Château Léoville Las Cases in Saint-Julien and Château Nenin in Pomerol. At Château Potensac, two wines are produced — Cru Bourgeois and La Chapelle de Potensac. This land is renowned for the diversity of its local soils, and thus the varieties of grapes grown here. Château Potensac adheres to very strict Medoc traditions in wine production, while the Château Potensac Cru Bourgeois wine has a very high aging potential.
